Common Questions that come up for Zync Solo Studio
1. What is the difference between Creator Seat and Marketer Seat?
Creator is the person who is recording the video. The video will have their name embedded in it. They will connect their main LinkedIn / Youtube channels. If you want to have multiple people create content you will have to create separate workspace for eachYou can create it all under one account and you can shift between them seamlessly within the app Here's how you will shift workspaces (http://support.zync.ai/article/shifting-workspaces)
Marketer Seats are for adding others who might help you in your video production journey. This could be a social media marketer who helps Schedule and Publishes your social media posts. This could be a SEO expert who will identify the right topics that you should be creating content on and will cue up your video sessions and video scripts. This could be a Video editor who could download this video and make enhancements to it. This could be a Virtual Assistant who will help schedule your different sessions.
1 Workspace = 1 Creator = 1 License / Subscription = 1 Youtube Account = 1 LinkedIn account.
We don't allow multiple creators per workspace.
2. How to delete a session / video?
You can delete a session in the Session Detail page. There's a button to delete.
Please note that even if you delete a session, that session will count towards your monthly credit (if applicable in your tier).
3. Why is the Edit Button disabled inside my Studio ?
Once you start recording, you won’t be able to edit the script. However, you can still say different things than what’s written, so minor script edits aren’t necessary.
4. Can I record the entire script in one take without segments?
Absolutely! To record in one continuous shot, just edit the Video Script to combine everything into a single segment. When recording, you’ll see only one segment to complete in one go.
5. Can I record my answers freely without using a script?
Yes, you can do that as well. Simply delete the script and record freely. The script is optional and only serves as guidance. You can even set up a few placeholder segments and speak freely during each one.
6. What if I make a mistake? Can I re-record a segment?
Yes, you can do as many retakes as needed. You don’t have to redo the whole video—just go to the segment you’d like to fix and re-record it. Your latest take will automatically be saved as final.
7. What devices and browsers are supported for Podcast studio ?

For now, we do not support mobile for Podcast Studio.

Note: We have noticed issues with users who have had older versions of browsers so please make sure to update your browser to its newest version.
8. Why is the audio and video in my recording out of sync? Why are some frames in my video frozen? Why does my video look choppy, with movements that aren't smooth?
We aim to capture your video in the highest possible resolution to ensure the best quality output. However, if your device does not have sufficient processing power or memory, this can sometimes lead to issues with your video, such as lagging, freezing, or choppiness.
To avoid these problems and ensure your video is recorded smoothly, we recommend closing any unnecessary applications or browser tabs before joining the studio. Freeing up memory and reducing your device's workload can significantly improve performance. Additionally, ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements for optimal recording. Taking these steps will help ensure your video is captured perfectly, without interruptions or quality issues.
9. How do I delete a b-roll overlay? How do I turn off b-roll overlays for my videos?
You can delete your b-roll videos in Zync's Video Editor. Learn more about there here
Additionally, you can go to Settings > Solo Studio Settings > Customize Content to turn off B-roll completely for all future videos.
10. The background audio is really loud, how do I remove it? I don't want music in the background, is there a way to remove it? The motion design themes are the same for all my videos. What other variations do I have for this?
You can edit this for completed videos in Zync's Video Editor. Learn more about there here
Additionally, you can go to Settings > Solo Studio Settings > Customize Content to change the setting for all future videos.
11. I registered for Zync but I did not receive the "Complete Registration" email. What's going on ?
Please check the spam folder in case it landed there. And if it did, please mark this as "Not Spam" so all future emails land in your inbox.
If you're still not seeing the email, send us your details to support@zync.ai and we will resolve this for you.
12.I have multiple people in the team and I want to add them as creators on my account. How do I do it?
Unfortunately, you need to have 1 separate workspace for every creator and each workspace has its own subscription. You cannot have multiple creators in one workspace.
If you made a mistake with your creator you can always change that in the Seattings > Solo Studio Settings > Creator Profile
13. I would like to request a feature. Do you have a feature request page?

14. How long can videos be ? Can I create videos longer than 5 minutes ?
Videos cannot be longer than 5 minutes.
Zync is specifically built for short form video content so you cannot creator longer vides on Zync at the moment.
15. What is custom domain integration and how does it work ?
All the videos you create are automatically added to a video feed.
It works like a Youtube Shorts page. It scrolls through all your videos but each page is it's own unique link.

This feed can be synced to your custom domain so these pages appear in https://videofeed.yourwebsite.com
These are statically generated web pages that are optimized for SEO.
So this can drive traffic to your site.
You can set this up in Settings > Integration > Custom Domain Integration
You need to be in the appropriate paid tier for this option to be available.

16. I made a mistake when setting my custom domain integration. How do I change it?

17. I recorded a lot but the output video is much shorter, what happened? What happens when I re-record over a segment?
Two reasons why this happens:
Re-Recording Segments: When you re-record over a segment the first recording is replaced by the second recording. e.g. If you had 3 segments 30s, 20s and 10s. Then you re-recorded over your second segment that was 20s to replace with 10s, then your output video will only be 30+10+10 = 40s
Unrecognizable Audio: If your recording didn't have words that were detected by our system, we trim this part out. This could happen because they were spoken in a language that our system couldn't detect. Or it had other sounds that were not words.
