Here's what I've realized. Most of you don't fail at building a personal brand because you lack the expertise. It's mostly because there are four gaps that you have not closed, and that's causing you to fail in building your personal brand. The first is the strategy gap. You can't just post and hope that something is going to happen and something's going to stick. You need to have a strategy. Who's your audience? Where are they spending the time? How are you going to write content that would actually connect to them and cut through the noise? And most importantly, is the content that you're putting out there is working towards the the goals that you care about, whether it's building authority, getting opportunities, or, like, getting leads. If you don't know this, this is the first gap. And then comes the tactics gap. And this is kind of where the hard work lives. You know, everything from, like, the recording, the editing, the writing captions, the tweaking content for each social media platform, setting up your content calendar, the hooks, the value, the CTA, the thumbnails, the, overlays, the edits, the b roll, all these things matter, and few are feeling to put in the effort to go through these details that needs to happen. And then there is the mindset gap. This is the wise that goes in your head that says that, I hate how I look on video or, I don't wanna post this content. I know that there are so many others who know this better than me. Or, oh, there's already so much content out there. Who am I to go and, like, talk about this thing? So here's the fix. Authenticity is not the same as perfection. It's sounding like yourself and trusting that your story matters and has value. And finally, there's the habit gap. If you have to do this only once, it's really easy. But doing it over and over, that's where the real growth happens. So it's kinda like dieting. If you were to eat good for one day or a couple of days, it's easy for you to do. But you know that if you do this consistently, that's when it's gonna have the improvement in your health. So your brand also works similarly. Consistency compounds. So here's the question for you. Which of these four gaps, strategic, tactics, mindset, and habit, is holding you off from building your personal brand?

Well, thanks for the question. Honestly, I think that the biggest challenge right now is not about finding the leads, but it's about being able to move them through across the finish line. So buyers today are being more cautious. They are looping in more stakeholders, and they are, like the decision cycles are being, like, relatively stretched out much further. And most sales teams are, like, run a go to market motion that is still set for, like, a much more faster, like, lower risk market. So they're great at generating interest, but not at converting it or closing it. What's been working for us is focusing more on the middle and the bottom funnel, where we actually, like, tighten in tighten our, like, qualification criteria, and we're building stronger cases and making sure that, like, we are aligned with the customer's actual decision drivers. So it's been less about volume and more about depth, you know, deeper discovery, deeper relationships, and deeper proof that we what we offer is worth the investment. That's what is helping us, get deals over the line in this environment.

And, subsequently, we're in the third quarter, and y'all have been Yep. Going around doing your management, provider reviews, and engagement. Mhmm. And that's how we're avoiding, and incentivizing these additional unencumbered units. Yes. I know we had mentioned that we were going to wait till we speak to everybody before we allocate, and we wasn't gonna do any distribution of until they receive and sign their mandate. So what what a good thing is and I and I heard y'all talking about it earlier. You went you sat down. We had some preconceived ideas based on looking at their past performance. Mhmm. We're talking about empirical data. We were talking about getting away from what we thought and looking at what the facts were. And so when y'all had an opportunity to do that, yeah, y'all went and sat down and had conversations. Out of that, even with some of our preconceived ideas about how we navigate Mhmm. Out of that, we discovered that they came back with some good ideas too. And what what was it you said, we let I mean, to get buy in. We had them contribute to the process. Yeah. Alright. And and out of that, man, let me you know, y'all share out of that, what are some of those things that we welcome, but we didn't I mean, we didn't anticipate. And I know you got your King Solomon Foundation? Yeah. With King Solomon, there were two instances. One was with I'm not sure if it was a tutoring, but one of the services that they provided, they were providing it in three hour increments. Mhmm. But if they continue to do that, then they would have overutilized the units. Individual. The the individual units. But by, reducing it into a two hour session instead of three hour session, now they were able to stay within scope. Yeah. And, you know, and the other thing was for similar situation. I'm trying to remember exactly. Morgan Ministries, we, discussed. We gave her the option since she was not utilizing all of her individuals To convert. To convert over to the group. And, actually, she didn't know she could do that. Mhmm. And once we informed her that she could, she was like, yes. Con convert them over, which that will give her more of units of service where she will have to the end. Mhmm. Because at the rate she was going, she would run out in, when, September Around September. September. From September. You you right. And and, Walter, in your capacity, with FEC as compliance I mean, contract compliance monitor, one of the things that you identified in the contract is that, you know, yeah, we can have our providers that are maximizing the resources, providing great service. But one of the things we didn't want to happen is if it's a twelve month contract, we don't wanna just be saying, hey. You did a great job. And in October, you're out of units. And so we're still left holding the bag because those services should last to December. So what is it that we came up with to make sure that taxpayers got what they invested in? FEC fulfilled this contractual obligation, and our subcontractors did what they were supposed to do. Oh, that's it. We just looked at the data. You know? So now that's one of the benefits of the CPaaS system is we're able to look at the data and see exactly where any subcontractor is at any given point in time. And so by looking at the data, they it's just kinda backing into it and saying, okay. Where are we at? And by using averages Mhmm. I was able to determine based on what they were actually utilizing per month and what their average monthly utilization should be and kinda come up with a rate. And then once I figured out what the utilization rate was, then I was able to kinda just use some math and kinda say, okay. Well, if you continue on this track, you're gonna run out of units either in Yeah. July, August, September, which then causes the situation because, you know, we need to make sure that this program stretches out all the way until the December. And so once we, identified the pattern and the utilization rate, now I was able to go back to those specific subcontractors, kinda give them a picture of what was going on, and then make those adjustments. So, you know, interesting with that, and and I you know, I'm thinking about cliches, and I'm not trying to make up any news, but it comes back down to, data doesn't lie. Mhmm. And first clients are are going to absolutely need to know that you're standing behind the product and service and sticking with them all the way through the installation. Hi. I'm Jonathan Thompson the second, a licensed mental health therapist in the state of California. One area of specialty in my practice is working at the intersection of sports performance and mental health advocacy. The goal of this training is to help athletes and those around them understand the mental health challenges athletes face and how to support themselves and others by addressing three hidden stigmas in sports. Let's start with a story. Meet CJ, a high school basketball player, team captain, and starting point guard. From the outside, he had it all. On the court, he was locked in. Off the court, he was drowning. What nobody saw was CJ was losing sleep, battling anxiety, and putting so much pressure on himself to be perfect that he started to shut down. He had beliefs such as If I tell someone I'm not okay, they'll think I'm soft. I'll lose my spot. I'll just have to deal with it. But he wasn't dealing with it. He was just hiding it, and it nearly cost him his passion for the game. There are three big mental health stigmas in sports that keep athletes like CJ silent. Number one. Struggling is weakness. Athletes are taught to grind through everything, but the mental pain isn't weakness. It's part of being human. Number two, therapy is for those people, not me. Nope. However, therapy is training for your mind just like practice is training for your body. Number three. If I speak up, I'll lose my spot. Fear of being benched, judged, or looked at differently keeps so many athletes quiet. But silence doesn't protect you. It isolates you. So a quick reflection. If you've ever thought one of those things, you're not alone, but believing them keeps athletes stuck. Back to CJ. One night, he had a full on panic attack before a game. That moment finally pushed him to speak up. He started therapy quietly at first, but it changed everything. He slept better. He played clearer. He felt renewed. He said, I thought speaking up would make me weaker, but it gave me my love for the game back. So let's make this teachable. Whether you're an athlete, coach, or parent, here are three action items you can take. Check-in with your mind like you check-in with your body. Feeling off? Say something. That's how you stay strong. Number two, support your teammates off the court. A simple you good could open a life changing conversation. Number three, normalize health. Let therapy be part of the culture, not the exception. Mental health and asking for help isn't weakness. It's a part of greatness. Athletes like CJ are no longer the exception. Let me tell you about the time when I had the worst experience ever as the a podcast guest. This is one of those experiences that should be titled how not to run your podcast. Here's what happened. So someone reached out to me on LinkedIn asking me to be a guest on their podcast. So now I get a few of these every month, and so I was a bit cautious. In fact, like, straight out asked them, this isn't a way for you to get me to book a sales call. Right? Spoiler alert, it absolutely was. But now looking back, there were a lot of red flags that I chose to ignore. See, for starters, they didn't have a sample podcast episodes to show me. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has to start somewhere. Right? And then came the invite. It was a plain Zoom link. Now if you're serious about podcasting, use a proper recording platform, and it shows effort and it shows professionalism. You do now wanna send a plain old Zoom link. But then again, I went with it. The first two questions, it was about me and what I did and, like, it was pretty straightforward. But then out of nowhere, it pivoted. It suddenly became questions about customer discovery on the service that they were trying to sell clearly had nothing to do with what I'm doing or what the initial podcast episode was about. Yeah. Right there in the middle of the podcast, it got worse. They started pitching me their service offering right inside the podcast. That raised a serious question in my head, which I asked them, and turns out they didn't even have an answer to that, and it just stumped them. Well, obviously, they tried they said that they would follow-up. Never did. And they sent a vague email saying that the episode was delayed and surprise, surprise, it was never published. And I got no video footage out of that either. So, look, podcasting is a powerful way to build trust, create content, and build genuine relationships. But if you treat it like a Trojan horse to get a sales call, you're not just burning a guest, you're doing a disservice for the entire podcast community. So now I'm curious. Imagine offering people $5,000,000 to give up their US citizenship. There'd probably be a long line. Heck, I might even be in that line. And then the price is likely going to drop. Maybe $4,000,000, 2 million dollars. 2 million dollars is still life changing money for people who might go happily live like a king in a completely different country.
