There are some instances where the browser by default does not grant permissions for our application to play audio. In these case we would have to explicitly grant those permissions.
Here is how you do this in the following browsers
Chrome
- Click on 3 dots on top right and click on settings
- Then click on “Privacy and Security” → “Site Settings”
- Then scroll to the bottom and click on “Additional Content Settings” → “Sound”
- Make sure “Sites can play sounds” is selected
- Below that, use the option to explicitly add [app.zync.ai](<http://app.zync.ai>) under “Allowed to play sounds”
- Now restart your browser and join the meeting again for the settings to take effect

Firefox
- Click on the hamburger menu on the top right and click on “Settings” in there
- Then click on “Privacy and Security” and scroll all the way to the bottom to “Permissions” → “Autoplay” Settings
- In the modal that pops up, make sure that “Allow audio and video” is selected for “Default for all websites”
- Now restart your browser and join the meeting again for your settings to take effect.

Edge
- Click on the 3 dots on the top right and then choose “Settings” → “Cookies and Site permissions”
- Choose “Media and autoplay”
- In the setting “Control if audio and video play automatically on sites” choose “Allow”
- Restart the browser
